Mediation may offer the best results.
Mediation is a popular alternative to traditional dispute resolution through the court system. Stephen I. Baer, a trained and experienced mediator, assists individuals and businesses with quickly creating their own solutions to resolve disputes they are not able to settle without outside help.
The American Arbitration Association reports that over 85% of all mediations result in a settlement, even if prior attempts at settlement have failed, substantial amounts of time and money have been spent preparing for a trial, and the parties themselves have low hopes about a successful settlement.
Mediation provides a safe environment where an impartial, third-party mediator controls and avoids unproductive discussions, allowing both sides to voice their concerns, identify issues to be resolved, and create solutions that are mutually acceptable. The mediator’s role is to keep the parties focused on exploring the most productive avenues to an agreeable settlement.
The parties set their own schedule and work to a resolution before a trial date is set or litigation is completed. The parties enjoy confidentiality, maintain their privacy, and do not disclose their personal or business information in public. Also, creating a mutual solution enables the participants to preserve and/or rebuild an important relationship that might have been lost.
Mr. Baer is an Advanced Practitioner member of the Association for Conflict Resolution. He has taken advanced mediation training courses and has conducted hundreds of mediation sessions. Primarily he serves as a Qualified Mediator in custody cases for the Court of Common Pleas of Chester and Montgomery Counties. He also served as an outside mediator for the United States Postal System.
